Celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2019, Champion is a brand for the ages. Philadelphia and the iconic athleticwear company have a lot in common these days, both going through periods of national resurgence. So it made perfect sense that Champion would choose our city as their fifth brick-and-mortar location in the U.S. As their partners, we were tasked with bringing Philly’s unique culture and signature grit to the store’s grand opening preview party to introduce Champion to the City of Brotherly Love. The night showcased custom art installations from local artist Alloyius McIlwaine and yarn-bomber Ishknits. Beats by DJ Diamond Kuts, breakdancing by Hip Hop Fundamentals, Philly bites and signature cocktails kept spirits high throughout the entire night. A packed house made up of media, influencers, employees and friends left with Champion-branded Polaroids and custom Philly merch as keepsakes of the night. While the party may be over, the store is just getting started.
